Social media community guidelines

We value open communication on our page and we want people to feel welcome and safe to express themselves and share their thoughts. 

Users of this site are reminded that moderators may hide or remove any comments that are considered:

  1. Derogatory, offensive, defamatory, hurtful, insensitive and inappropriate language meant to harass, threaten, defame or abuse an individual or specific groups.
  2. Threatening, abusive, violent language regarding race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, political beliefs or other targeted groups
  3. Information regarding crimes, offenders or victims
  4. Multiple off-topic posts by a single person
  5. Personal or sensitive information about others
  6. Discussions or debates around legislations or potential sentencing related to matters before court
  7. Links to spam, baiting and advertisements
  8. Links to third party pages
  9. Links that are unlawful, or may defame, discriminate, offend, interfere with privacy or infringe copyright, or other intellectual property rights
  10. Advertisements or endorsements of any commercial organisations
  11. Inaccurate, false, misleading or deceptive information
  12. Any other content determined at ACT Policing’s discretion
  13. A violation of Facebook’s Terms of Use.

Users found to be repeatedly breaching these community guidelines may be banned from this page.
