Police attendance to traffic incidents
If you are reporting a traffic matter you have witnessed and are prepared to provide a written statement to police, please contact ACT Policing Operations on 131 444.
By doing so, you acknowledge and understand that the statement will be used in Court as evidence, and that you would be willing to appear and give that evidence in Court if necessary.
The details of any other witnesses to the incident would also be required so additional statements can be obtained. This may provide corroborative evidence, which would be necessary to increase the likelihood of a successful prosecution.
