Police arrest two men following aggravated burglary in Canberra’s north

ACT Policing’s Criminal Investigations detectives have arrested two men following an aggravated burglary in Watson yesterday afternoon (Wednesday, October 10).
About 1.40pm police responded to an aggravated burglary at a house in Watson. The 45-year-old resident told police she had disturbed two men who were searching through rooms of her house. The two men ran from the house in possession of stolen property and left the area in a white sedan.
About 2.30pm police located a white Ford Falcon sedan travelling along National Circuit in Barton. A short time later police stopped the vehicle and located the stolen property inside. Two men and a woman were arrested and taken to the ACT Watch House.
A 40-year-old man and 29-year-old man have been charged with aggravated burglary and theft. They will face the ACT Magistrates Court today. The woman was released without charge.
