Man to face court for child pornography

A 50-year-old Banks man will face the ACT Magistrates Court today (Thursday, October 18) charged with child pornography related offences.

Last month (September 19), Criminal Investigations detectives executed a search warrant at the man’s house in Banks after receiving information that the man had been accessing a child exploitation material website. As a result of the warrant, detectives seized a laptop computer, three hard drives and other computer storage material.

The man was summonsed to face the ACT Magistrates Court today, charged with using a carriage service for child pornography, using a carriage service to cause offence and possessing child pornography.
