Ninth fatality for 2012

A 69-year-old woman from Cook who was involved in a collision on Friday afternoon (October 12) has died.

Around 4.25pm the woman was hit by a car while walking in Dexter Street, Cook. She was conveyed by ambulance to The Canberra Hospital in a critical condition having sustained serious head injuries. The woman died early this morning.

The driver remained at the scene to assist police with their investigation.
