Two males arrested over theft of trees at Arboretum

ACT Policing have arrested two males over the theft of 12 Dragon trees from the National Canberra Arboretum.

The trees were stolen between 6pm (Monday July 26) and 6.30am (Tuesday July 27). Five of the trees have been recovered and returned to the National Canberra Arboretum.

A 19-year-old male from Chifley will face the Magistrates Court this morning charged with receiving stolen property.

A 23-year-old male from Kambah has been bailed and will appear at a later date in the Magistrate’s Court charged with receiving stolen property.
