Property damage leads to arrest in Tuggeranong

ACT Policing took two people into custody and later charged one for common assault and property damage after an altercation outside the Tuggeranong Valley Leagues Club last night (Friday, July 23).

Police were called to the location around 10.20pm, responding to reports of a disturbance outside the premises.

A large glass panel in front of the club was broken and several people appeared to have minor injuries as a result of an earlier altercation.

A 19-year-old male was arrested in a carpark nearby and conveyed to the ACT Watch House, where he was charged with common assault and property damage.

A second man, also 19 years old, was taken into protective custody for being intoxicated and disorderly and was held overnight in the ACT Watch House.
