Susan Winburn - $500,000 reward

Susan Winburn was 45 years old when she was found murdered in her home at 81 Knoke Avenue in Gordon on 13 January 2004.

She was discovered by her sister, naked in the bathtub after failing to turn up to work that day. She had died as a result of strangulation.

There were no signs of forced entry to her home, however her purse had been taken.

Susan was last seen alive purchasing items from the Erindale Chemist in the Erindale Shopping Centre, Wanniassa about 7.10pm that evening. She spoke to her sister on her home telephone about 8.40pm on Monday 12 January 2004.

Police are urging anyone with any information, no matter how small, to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000. Information can be provided anonymously.

A $500 000 reward is in place for information leading to the apprehension and subsequent conviction of the person(s) responsible for Susan’s murder and an appropriate indemnity from prosecution will be considered for any accomplice who first gives information.
